Important information for 2026

Hi everyone,

We have an important update to share about this year’s Ware Old Town Live.

After many discussions, we’ve made the decision not to close Ware High Street for this year’s event and move the food traders, kids zone and outdoor stages into the Priory Grounds.

Unfortunately, due to significant increases in the charges set by East Herts Council, continuing with the traditional High Street closure would have meant running the festival at a substantial financial loss, putting the future of the event at risk.

Rather than compromise the future of Ware Old Town Live, we’ve chosen to invest in making this year’s event even bigger where it matters most – the music, the atmosphere and the experience.

What’s new?

We’re excited to announce that The Priory Grounds will become the heart of the festival, featuring three brand new outdoor stages, alongside our food village and fairground.

You’ll also be able to enjoy fantastic live music at our partner venues throughout the town:

The Brewery Tap

The Old Bulls Head

The Mixer

Tudor Square (Outdoor Stage)

The Punch House (Outdoor Stage)

The Priory Grounds (Three Outdoor Stages)

Jacoby’s

Plus, you’ll find a fantastic selection of food traders and the fairground in The Priory Grounds, creating an exciting festival hub for everyone to enjoy.

We know change can be frustrating, especially for those who have supported the event over the years. However, we’re genuinely excited about this new format and believe it will create an even better atmosphere while helping secure the future of Ware Old Town Live for years to come.

New for this year: Entry to the Priory Grounds is just £2.50 per adult (on the door), with children going free. This Family Grounds Ticket gives you access to the food traders, children’s zone and fairground. If you’d like to enjoy the live music performances, our standard festival ticket is still required, giving you access to all participating music venues and stages.

Thank you, as always, for your incredible support. We can’t wait to welcome you for another unforgettable weekend of live music, great food and amazing community spirit.

See you at Ware Old Town Live!
